Description:
Sitting at the edge of a headland, the brief for this project was to design a plunge pool that appeared suspended over the ocean, and once inside it, blend with the ocean directly in front. With a deeper than usual end at the edge side of the cliff, the ocean is brought right in. Mosaic tiles inside and along the pool provide texture as the sun moves across the sky, whilst recycled rail sleepers sit below the pool height on the edge side to counteract the perception of height when seen from below.
